SINGAPORE, KOMPAS.TV – The rare sighting of the parallel planet phenomenon was caught on camera via cellphone, Saturday (25/6/2022).
The planets Jupiter, Mars, Venus, and the Moon can be seen directly with the eye. This phenomenon is known to have only appeared a few times since 2005.
A teenager named Charmaine Lee managed to catch the phenomenon at 6.33 am local time. Lee said it took about 45 minutes to capture the moment.
“It took me about 45 minutes to capture this image while waiting for the clouds to clear to get a good picture of the planet,” he said Kompas.com, Sunday (26/6/2022).
The woman who has been interested in astronomy since she was 12 years old said she was happy to catch this rare event.
“I love looking at the stars and planets and seeing rare events like this,” he said.
Lee then uploaded the snap from the iPhone 13 and provided a description of the planets and satellites. Actually this phenomenon also involves Mercury and Saturn, but only 3 planets are visible.
