It is noteworthy that Müller has played all of his games wearing the number 25 shirt – and has done so since his first competitive appearance for the professionals on August 15, 2008.

Probably because the kit manager assumed that I wouldn’t be there for long. But he was wrong!” Müller revealed with a laugh.

In contrast, Müller wore the number 13 shirt in most of his 131 games for the German national team. From the very beginning, he showed his connection to his namesake and Bayern legend Gerd Müller, who also played for Germany for many years with the number 13 shirt.
Therefore there is no special Müller goal celebration
Despite his impressive record of 245 goals in 710 competitive matches for FCB, Müller has never celebrated a goal himself – unlike other football stars such as Kylian Mbappé, Cristiano Ronaldo or Robert Lewandowski.

“For me, the main focus is on managing to score a goal. I will never be able to take scoring goals at this level for granted. That’s why I never thought about celebrating, but rather thought about how I could score a goal. I just let the celebration happen,” explained the offensive all-rounder.
