Sergio Ramos reveal the reason for joining Paris Saint Germain. It’s not about money, but there’s one thing from The Parisians which intrigued him. What is that?
Ramos was officially introduced as a new PSG player, Thursday (8/7/2021) afternoon WIB. The 35-year-old defender has a contract at the Parc des Princes until June 2023.
PSG became Ramos’ third club in his professional career. The Spain defender started his career with Sevilla in 2003, before moving to Real Madrid in 2005 and lasted 16 years at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Sergio Ramos left Real Madrid with legend status. He played a total of 671 times for The whites and successfully presented various trophies, including five LaLiga titles and four Champions League winners.
Ramos’ romance with Real Madrid ended in 2021 after he turned down a contract extension offered The Meringues. The Spanish defender was linked with various clubs, before finally choosing a proposal Paris Saint Germain.
There is a special reason why Ramos decided to move to PSG. According to him, the Parisian club is the best place to continue to realize his dreams in the world of the round skin.
“The best place to keep dreaming, the best club to keep winning. We will fight with everything and for everything. Allez PSG!” said Ramos on his Twitter account @SergioRamos.
The arrival of Ramos to the Parc des Princes was welcomed by PSG boss Nasser Al-Khelaifi. He called the former Real Madrid captain a true leader.
“Sergio is a complete footballer. One of the best defenders in the history of football, a competitor, a leader and a true professional,” said Al-Khelaifi.
“His vast experience and ambition synergizes perfectly with the club. I am proud to see him wearing our jersey and I know the fans have a great welcome for him,” he said of the move. Sergio Ramos ke Paris Saint Germain.
