JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Minister of State Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir explained the reason he appointed Arief Prasetyo Adi to be the President Director of PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia (Persero) or RNI.
Arief himself is a former President Director of PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya.
The company is a DKI Jakarta Regional Owned Enterprise (BUMD) which is engaged in the food sector.
“Yesterday I pulled Mr. Arief from the Food Station, yes, we saw this because the Food Station in Jakarta is extraordinary and we want to attract him,” said Erick in a webinar, Thursday (19/11/2020).

Arief was appointed RNI Managing Director to replace Eko Taufik Wibowo who was removed from his position.
Arief has held the position of President Director of PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya from 2015 to 2020.
RNI itself will be appointed to be the parent company of the food BUMN cluster formed by Erick.
PT RNI will oversee eight state-owned companies related to food. The eight companies, namely PT Berdikari (Persero), PT Perikanan Nusantara (Persero), Perum Perikanan Indonesia, PT Pertani (Persero), PT Sang Hyang Seri (Persero), PT Garam (Persero), PT Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia (Persero) and PT Bhanda Ghara Reksa (Persero).
“We try to map input, production, offtake, primary processing, storage, trading, distribution, retail sales, we will connect it,” said Erick in a webinar, Thursday (19/11/2020).
