JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV– Director of General Crimes of the Indonesian National Police, Brigadier General Andi Rian Djajadi, revealed the reason why the Criminal Investigation Unit stopped investigating the alleged abuse of the wife of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo by Brigadier Yoshua. In fact, previously the case had been reported to the South Jakarta Police.
“There was no evidence of an alleged attempted murder and alleged harassment (by Brigadier Yoshua), so we stopped the investigation,” Andi Rian said at a press conference at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Friday (12/8/2022).
According to Andi Rian, the disclosure of the premeditated murder case that resulted in four suspects, including Ferdy Sambo, automatically aborted the report on the harassment case against the wife of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo. This means that no criminal acts were found from the alleged harassment report.

To follow up on the termination of the investigation into the alleged abuse of the wife of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, the Special Inspectorate Team (Irsus) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police is currently examining the investigator responsible for the two police reports whose investigations were stopped. Because, it is considered as an effort to prevent the disclosure of the case of premeditated murder (340 of the Criminal Code) against Brigadier Joshua.
As is known, the investigators of the Special Police Team have named four suspects in the case of Brigadier Yoshua’s death, namely Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, Bharada Richard Eliezer Pudihang Lumiu or Bharada RE or Bharada E, Brigadier Chief (Bripka) Ricky Rizal or Bripka RR, and one suspect. civilian named Strong Ma’ruf or KM (Princess Chandrawathi’s driver).
These four suspects are charged with premeditated murder, Article 340 of the Criminal Code, subsidiary to Article 338 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 and Article 56 of the Criminal Code, which carries a maximum penalty of death or life imprisonment, or a maximum of 20 years in prison.
