VIVA – Honda PCX finally got a fairly large change, namely in the engine part. Bike motor which is included in the automatic scooter segment officially uses the name PCX 160.
In the official statement, quoted VIVA Automotive on Wednesday 9 December 2020, Honda Japan said that they have made many changes.
On the exterior, the headlights form a different angle. The dimensions of this new motorbike are also slightly longer to make it stable. To make it more agile to drive, the width and height are reduced by a few millimeters.
There are three types presented, namely the Honda PCX with a 125cc capacity, the Honda PCX 160 and the latest generation Honda PCX Hybrid, which are named e: HEV.
The three of them use enhanced Smart Program Plus or eSP + technology, which is a series of changes on the machine that make it more efficient. Such as increasing the number of valves to four, as well as hydraulic valve triggers whose sound is smoother.
In the PCX 160 type, Honda installed a single cylinder engine with code KF47E which had an original capacity of 156cc. Thanks to the 12: 1 compression, its power reaches 15.8 horsepower and a maximum torque of 15 Newton meters.
The wheel width is made wider, so that the rider is safer. The braking system uses disc technology, and the front wheels are equipped with ABS for safety.

Honda also installed traction control technology, which is very useful when the motorbike has to traverse slippery roads. Engine power will be adjusted according to the grip of the tires on the road, so there is no slippage.
Honda PCX 160 is offered with a tag of 407 thousand Yen or the equivalent of Rp.54.9 million. Price This is more expensive than the PCX 150, which is sold in that country for 383.9 thousand Yen or around Rp.51.8 million.
