this is the new magnetic iPhone charger

Do you remember MagSafe? Apple used this term for years for the magnetic connection of the charging cable MacBooks. Since the 12-inch MacBook in 2015 and the MacBook Pro from 2016 Apple renounced this practical and popular connection, but it will be back in 2020. The MagSafe Charger and Charger Duo are two new wireless chargers from Apple, especially for the iPhone 12.

MagSafe Charger in short

These are the main features of the new MagSafe Charger:

• Two models: MagSafe Charger and MagSafe Charger Duo
• Wireless charger with magnets
• Duo variant suitable for iPhone and Apple Watch
• Only for iPhone 12 series, available separately

Functions of the MagSafe Charger and Charger Duo

The MagSafe Charger and MagSafe Charger Duo are wireless chargers, which means that you do not plug a cable directly into the iPhone. The chargers themselves still run via a cable to the socket. The advantage over others wireless chargers is that you don’t have to bother positioning yourself properly iPhone. Of iPhone 12 falls exactly in the right place thanks to the magnets. Charging is therefore comparable to the Apple Watch, whereby the charger also falls magnetically into place.

An advantage of the MagSafe Charger is that you can charge the iPhone wirelessly while you are using it. With other wireless chargers you have to put it down, but you can keep holding the MagSafe Charger at the same time. There is still a wire to it.
