According to the Crespo Fondation, the following have been newly appointed to the jury for the WORTMELDUNGEN Literature Prize 2025:
- the author and podcaster Alice Hasters,
- the author and WORTMELDUNGEN award winner Kathrin Röggla,
- the literary scholar Christoph Steier,
- the playwright and dramaturge Gerhild Steinbuch
- and the sociologist Felix Trautmann.
Together with cultural scientist Hanna Engelmeier and art critic Silke Hohmannwho were already part of the jury last year, they will decide on the awarding of the “WORTMELDUNGEN Ulrike Crespo Literature Prize for Critical Short Texts 2025”.
The literary prize, worth 35,000 euros, is awarded annually by the Crespo Foundation for outstanding literary short texts that deal with current social issues. The jury traditionally represents different disciplines that take an interdisciplinary approach to the texts submitted.
