The duel between the two teammates at Paris Saint-Germain must in fact produce winners and losers. Messi, as a winner, can party, but he doesn’t forget to entertain Mbappé.
Ahead of the championship trophy awarding ceremony on the podium, Messi was caught on camera walking up to Mbappe and hugging him. It didn’t take long, but perhaps Messi wants to let Mbappé know that he also cares about his colleague’s sadness.

In addition to Messi, Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni has also embraced Mbappe. Kylian Mbappe failed to defend his world title but received a consolation prize in the form of the Golden Boot for being the top scorer with 8 goals.
