The Vespa LX125 is the first model to be locally assembled in Indonesia
GridOto.com – This is the first Vespa assembled by the Piaggio Indonesia plant in Cikarang, West Java, will the price be cheaper?
This Italian group of motorcycle manufacturers officially opened its first factory in Jababeka Industrial Zone, Cikarang, West Java on 11/23/2022.
Set on 6 acres of land, this is definitely a form of engagement Piaggio group after 11 years of presence in the Indonesian two-wheeler market.
This factory started operating by producing Vespa scooters, i.e. the LX125 i-get variant which is also the cheapest product at the moment.
For information, for Vespa LX 125 i-get sold by Piaggio Indonesia is still imported by CBU from Vietnam at a price of IDR 40.5 million OTR Jakarta.
It is expected that the Cikarang plant will also produce other Piaggio Group brands and products in the future.
Like all Piaggio Group production plants, the new plant meets Piaggio’s global factory standards applied throughout the world.
Not yet producing motorcycles at full capacity, for now the Piaggio Group plant in Indonesia operates only for assembly.
