A new bar opened its doors to Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines).
So far nothing very original in this town already well endowed with establishments of this kind and terraces.
Most, The Little Domethat’s its name, has several particularities.
First of all, it is an ephemeral bar and that is a first in the royal city.
In a green space
Then, he did not settle in the city center but a 6-minute walk from it, on the edge of the open-air forest in a green space located within the walls of the Saint-Germain-en-Laye swimming pool called the Dome.
The Petit Dôme has an individual surface and its own entrance overlooking the Octagon road.
Open since June 2, this ephemeral bar offers its services from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., Thursday and Friday, and from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m., Saturday and Sunday, until September 18.
“The idea was to make a guinguette like it is done in Paris or Versailles. We offer snacks, wine*, beer, champagne and cocktails. It’s outdoors and we have events every Thursday with a DJ. »
A capacity of 300 people
picnic tables, deckchairsgarden lounges and high tables for standing meals are arranged on the site to accommodate up to 300 people maximum.

“It’s a festive place and also a family one, because on Saturdays and Sundays at 3 p.m. we have quite a few families who come out of the swimming pool or after their walk in the forest to have a drink or a little snack. »
The Petit Dôme will be exceptionally open on the occasion of the music festival on Tuesday, June 21 from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.
