Abhijeet Goel is a technology entrepreneur. He met his partner who is a doctor, Sansrati online through a marriage website called Matrimony.com. The two chose to get married in the midst of the pandemic.

But due to limitations during the pandemic, they decided to get married on the metaverse platform. This decision was also taken so that his family and friends in various countries could attend the event while maintaining health protocols.

Abhijeet got to know Yug Metaverse from the founder of the platform, Utkarsh Shukla. Unlike the real-world wedding preparations that usually take months, this virtual wedding is only planned for a week.

“We both wanted to have a wedding, but due to pandemic restrictions, we were unable to plan a physical party.

Yug came to be a savior and we were able to plan a beachfront wedding in the metaverse. We let our imagination run wild and planned everything including the seating, stage, banners, dance floor and more,” Abhijeet said.

Almost the entire wedding ceremony is visualized on the screen, so guests can move on like in a real wedding. In addition, the invitees were also given discount coupons to get premium Fablelle branded chocolates.

“Yug is an open platform. People can create their own experiences such as weddings, virtual events, exhibitions, hangouts with friends, business meetings and conferences,” said Shashank, Yug Metaverse representative, compiled KompasTekno from Business InsiderTuesday (15/2/2022).

“We believe by creating a decentralized platform, it will change various fields such as education, business, commerce and entertainment,” continued Shashank.
