Czech Republic National Team look brilliant when you beat Dutch National Team of Euro 2020 round of 16. A great performance from the tournament’s dark horse team.

Czechs face Belgium in the round of 16 Euro 2020. On paper, Jaroslav Silhavy’s men are less favored than Orange.

After holding 0-0 in the first half, the Czechs could score two goals against the Netherlands, who had to play with 10 men from the 55th minute because Matthijs de Ligt was sent off.

Two Czech goals were scored by Tomas Holes in the 68th minute and Patrik Schick in the 80th minute. The score lasted until the match, and ensured the Czechs advanced to the last eight.

“I always say, we are Czechs, we are not built by individuals. We are built as a team,” said Soucek, Czech captain, as quoted by UEFA’s website.

“And from this team, individuals are formed in the end. Today Tomas Holes performed very well. We are proud of him and the team as a whole,” he said.

Qualified for the quarterfinals, Czech Republic National Team repeat the achievement at Euro 2012. Furthermore, the 1976 European Cup champions will face fellow dark horse team, Denmark, in the quarterfinals, which will take place on Saturday (3/7).
