Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Sales of the Toyota Avanza in May 2022 should be knocked out of the top 10. This is revealed from sales data from the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo).

In May 2022, Avanza only sold 1,766 units. This figure is also far from the sales of the Honda Brio which occupied the first position of the car in May 2022. The car was reported to have sold 4,121 units.

In fact, there is a type of Avanza that is not very well sold, namely the All New Avanza 1.5 G CVT TSS 2021 with only 7 units sold. This car is the most expensive type of Avanza with a tag of IDR 295,800,000.

The price, which is almost Rp. 300 million, is because Toyota has inserted TSS technology, which is made to help protect drivers and passengers, especially to reduce potential hazards while driving.

Before the Avanza, Toyota had introduced this TSS system in the Toyota Raize. The TSS feature is equipped with camera technology and laser sensors. The TSS system is designed to reduce hazards while driving. Even though it has advanced features, in fact, in terms of sales, it doesn’t really lift the achievement.

In the previous month, this car only sold 20 units, then in March it touched 21 units. This car had sold a lot in February, namely as many as 434 units, but in the previous month it was also relatively small, only 62 units.

Low sales are also on Avanza apart from the All New Avanza 1.5 G CVT TSS, namely the Avanza 1.3 A/T Transmover which only sold 26 units last month.

On the other hand, big sales were in another type, namely the All New Avanza 1.3 E 2021 manual transmission which last month reached 1,093 units, then in March it reached 3,106 units.
