Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has stepped down as CEO of Bayern Munich but remains very attentive to what is happening in the world of football, namely the transfer market and Cristiano Ronaldo’s situation at Juventus. The former Bavarian boss does not hide his concern about the current values that are practiced in football and calls for the intervention of UEFA.
“Cristiano? The biggest problem is the salary: who can pay more? He earns 70 million gross, 35 net. Who can give more? PSG? Maybe an English club? It is not a very healthy way for the evolution of football. UEFA needs, we need concrete regulations, because values have increased again and intervention is necessary or football will go through a very difficult period ”, Rummenigge explained on the German TV show ‘Reif ist live’.
Recall that despite successive rumors, Pavel Nedved, vice-president of Juventus, assured Sunday that Cristiano Ronaldo would remain at the club until the end of this season, the expiration date of his contract.
