This is the best way to clean your make-up brushes and beauty blender

Start the year off right? Then have a big beauty cleaning! This is the perfect time to thoroughly go through your makeup stash and tools. Because let’s be honest: how often do you clean your makeup brushes? We therefore tell you how best to clean your brushes and beauty blender.

Powder brushes

You can easily clean eye shadow, blush and other powder brushes with baby shampoo and water. Use some water and a little bit of baby shampoo to make some soapy water in the sink and run your brushes through it. Then rinse your brush well, so that no shampoo remains. Then gently dab or squeeze the brush and place it on a cloth to dry for a day. Do not squeeze too hard, otherwise the hair will fall out. And There you go: they are clean again. Please note: only try to wet the bristles of your brush and not the handle, which you can clean afterwards with a Dettol cloth.

Foundationkwasten

Make-up brushes that you use to apply liquid make-up, such as foundation, are best cleaned with a bar of soap and lukewarm water. Rub the soap over the brush and run your fingers through the bristles. Rinse the brush under the water to remove the make-up and dirt. Continue until you no longer see any discoloration in the water. Gently pat dry and allow the brush to dry thoroughly.

Beauty Blender

Cleaning beauty blenders can be done in different ways. You can put it in a bowl of water and clean it in the microwave. Or dab it in soapy water with washing-up liquid. Whatever is possible, put three teaspoons of coconut oil in a bowl. Wet your sponge with water and first dab it in the coconut oil with squeezing movements so that it absorbs well. Then put a drop of detergent on it and then make squeezing movements again. Rinse under the tap with lukewarm water, and repeat until you no longer see a color difference in the water.
