So, referring to the research, it is recommended that antihypertensive drugs be taken between 09.00-11.00.
Despite the recommendation to take antihypertensive drugs in the morning, a study published in European Heart Journal (2018) mentioned taking high blood pressure medication at night is better than in the morning.
Research from experts in Spain examined 19,000 people with hypertension who regularly took anti-high blood pressure drugs from 2008 to 2018.
As a result, patients who took the drug before bed had a 44 percent lower risk of heart attack, 4% lower chance of heart failure, 49% lower risk of stroke, and 45% lower risk of death from cardiovascular disease.
