Ajaib Group takes action to terminate the employment relationship (layoffs) to its 67 employees. The decision to downsize employees was taken as part of a strategy to cope with uncertain macroeconomic conditions.
The parent company PT Ajaib Sekuritas Asia (Ajaib Sekuritas) said it will provide compensation to the affected employees in accordance with the statutory regulations, accompanied by a number of additional compensation.
“The affected employees will receive compensation in accordance with the law, as well as an additional one-month severance bonus for each year of service,” the company’s management said in a written statement on Tuesday (11/29/ 2022).
For example, an employee’s working time is 4 years, so in addition to severance pay, he also receives 4 additional months of salary. Additional 3 months salary for 3 years of work and beyond.
Not only that, for the next 6 months there will also be protection in the form of health insurance for employees and their families. Hence, employees are also facilitated with advice and support in their job search.
Other than this step, the management salary will be voluntarily reduced and the founders will not receive a salary. Management also explained that this action was part of the company’s strategy to continue to adapt so that Ajaib could develop sustainably.
“All these efforts have no impact on Ajaib’s business continuity and customer services. Going forward, Ajaib has also prepared a strong corporate strategy to continue to achieve financial inclusion in Indonesia,” he said.
