“Per episode, (actors) receive more than ₩ 300 million KRW (around Rp. 3.6 billion) as guaranteed salary. If you consider the 16-episode drama, then the actors earn almost ₩ 5 billion KRW (about Rp. 60 billion), “
The journalist said Song Hye Kyo and a number of other successful actresses were paid less because the actors had bigger female fans. And this benefits them in many ways.
The nominal then became a debate because Song Hye Kyo to Jun Ji Hyun were actresses who could bring success to the series they starred in just by their existence.
