artist known for his nostalgic styleShohei Ochiai(Shohei Ochiai) will hold the largest solo exhibition in his career “THIS IS SHOHEI OCHIAI”.
Ochiai Shohei was born in 1988 and is 35 years old now. In the past, he studied at Tamagawa University’s Faculty of Art, majoring in product design. Ochiai worked in comedy before turning to painting full-time in 2018, and is particularly known for his stunning nostalgic-themed works. These creations include early game consoles, Air Jordan 1, Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh cards, 4x4s, OREO cookies, Nissin Cup Noodles, and more. Shohei Ochiai’s style is characterized by unique colors and varied brushstrokes, and his collaborations with Japanese bands yonawo and TENDOUJI are also acclaimed.
“THIS IS SHOHEI OCHIAI” will not only showcase Shohei Ochiai’s many works so far, but will also release a documentary that will describe his creative process in detail.
