Attention Düsseldorf film buffs: Do you love watching films on the big screen, but the price of cinema tickets is often too expensive for you? Then you should 7 and 8 September Make a note in your calendar. Because on these days the 2024 cinema festival will take place in the NRW state capital.
This is a promotional weekend where you can watch a film of your choice in all participating cinemas nationwide for just 5 euros per screening. Young people in particular are to be lured into the cinemas more often. Both current films and classics are shown, as well as previews. The cinema festival has been taking place since 2022 and is entering its third round this year.

UCI Düsseldorf and Neuss
The UCI cinema in Düsseldorf’s Media Harbour is taking part in the cinema festival again this year. You can look forward to the Pixar blockbuster “Inside Out 2”, the Minions’ latest trick in “Despicable Me 4” and the current Marvel film “Deadpool & Wolverine”.

The event will also see the French hit film “What is normal?” being shown for the first time in German cinemas. In our neighboring country, the film has already thrilled over nine million people. You can also see the preview of “The Crow” on the big screen, the new version of the cult classic of the new version of the cult classic with Bill Skarsgård in the title role of the dark avenger.
The cinema is also showing the documentary film “The Unyielding – Good Morning, You Beautiful Ones!” In his latest production, journalist and television critic Torsten Körner takes a look at the other side of the Iron Curtain and sheds light on the lives of East German women from various social areas in the GDR.

The cinema chain CineStar is also taking part in the cinema festival this year. Films such as “Daffy Duck”, “Trap”, “200% Wolf”, “Longlegs, Alien: Romulus” and “Beetlejuice” will be shown. There is also a Disney Channel interactive cinema for the little ones.

Studio Cinema Ratingen
If you prefer to enjoy your films in a convivial atmosphere, you should pay a visit to the Studio Kino in Ratingen. The cinema is easy to reach from Düsseldorf using the U72 subway line (stop: Ratingen Mitte).
Here, too, you can watch films such as the German comedy “Alles Fifty Fifty”, the romcom “Liebesbriefe aus Nizza” or a recording of the energetic ballet performance “Don Quixote” from the Royal Opera House in London for a small price.
