This is not an apocalypse. It’s not the end of the world. It’s just France – 2024-08-24 14:30:51

/ world today news/ Observing the violent behavior of the angry French on the streets, especially if it is seen for the first time, the thought immediately pops into the head: here is the revolution! The authorities will not resist! No more France. The government will fall. It does not matter who is rebelling this time – the Arab and African teenagers from the suburbs, the populist “yellow vests”, the disaffected farmers, the supporters of sexual minorities, the opponents of sexual minorities and, on the contrary, the defenders of families and traditional values, nationalists, anti-fascists, anarchists, students, pensioners, cyclists, animal rights activists, trade unions, environmentalists and pensioners. They are crowds of thousands, tens and hundreds of thousands, sometimes millions. They fill the streets of French cities, stop traffic, block railway stations and airports, declare autonomy in the separately occupied universities and schools, light gasoline, overturn cars, shout wildly, wave flags and rush to bite the policemen. And then… they calm down, come to their senses, take their pills and go back to work, loudly discussing prices, life, neighbors and politics at lunch in small cozy restaurants, where they roar again, but now much quieter, before they went home.

After 1968, even the most massive multi-million dollar protests did not achieve any effect. Zero score. Always and under all circumstances. If you know France better, you understand that it is simply a nation of psychopaths. And it’s not about migrants at all. The French authorities simply do not care about the migrants, nor do they care about the ordinary native French. And this icy indifference in turn turns migrants into psychopaths. This is a new form of social integration – to arrive in a civilization of psychopaths and become the same as them.

Jean Baudrillard thinks the French are a nation of complete morons. According to him, they are not capable of understanding anything about art and are pouring thousands into the “Bobur” museum just so that someday it will collapse under the weight of these idiots. Domestic wildness and constant bouts of hysteria replace culture and politics for the French. If

General de Gaulle knew his own people better, he would not have paid any attention in 1968 to the outrages that the liberals were creating on the street. After a while they would just burst. And he takes what is happening seriously. After that, none of the presidents repeated such a mistake. Whatever happens on the street, but also in the economy, politics, society, finance, the French authorities always keep calm. And total control over the press. Régi Debré, Mitterrand’s adviser, admits that during Mitterrand’s mandates, nominally leftist, he and his boss failed to achieve anything they set out to do, because every time their initiatives met with invisible resistance. And being at the very top of power, neither Debré nor Mitterrand ever understood where this opposition came from. Only later does Debre realize that the job is in the press. The press is everything for France. And the psychopaths on the street, that is, the population – that’s nothing.

When Macron was elected for the first time, and the right-wing and rather rational Marine Le Pen had good prospects, the influential newspaper “Libération” came out with the headline “Do what you want, but vote for Macron!”. Very French. Right, left, pro-migration, anti-migration, pro-tax hike, anti-tax hike – it doesn’t matter. Vote here too. For Macron. This is a non-negotiable order. And no responsibility is borne after the act of voting. And Macron does not wear.

They hated Macron already during his first term. I don’t remember why. Apparently because of everything. But they chose him again. The same French. Russians are thought to be unpredictable – and that’s crazy. The French are predictable, but this is madness. To elect a complete incompetent for the second time… Who the hell is capable of that? But they elected him, and once again started protesting, celebrating, burning cars and smashing shop windows. We may remember Baudrillard: the French are idiots, but Macron is also French. Equilibrium has been achieved.

So the scale of the current riots, the rampage of immigrant youth gangs (Macron suggested they were just playing too much computer games), the sharp downturn in the economy, the increased interest rates on government bonds, the recession, the collapse of the holiday season, the huge losses from vandalism should not they are lying to us: the French are making a profit.

Macron will do nothing. He never did anything. He will support environmentalism, meet with Greta Thunberg just in case, send another echelon of weapons to Ukraine, pay fabulous bars for a famous but totally ineffective US PR company connected to the CIA, talk on the phone with Scholz, he will enter a gay disco, he will look in the mirror. Then he will stare into the mirror again. I’ll take a look and everything will be fine. This has always happened. This is not an apocalypse. It’s not the end of the world. It’s just France.

It remains to admit one thing: an apocalypse has never happened in this rather attractive and stylish country before. And now her streets flooded with the devil knows who are showing a mass hallucination.

Is there anyone out there willing and able to change the situation? If we carefully study the French culture of the 19th and 20th centuries, the conclusion is clear: the French spirit, like Orpheus (for example, in Cocteau or Blanchot), wants only one thing, the lower it descends into hell. He succeeded. And it is irreversible. How much longer can it go on? It is not known. Beautiful France, the eldest daughter of the Church, as the Catholics called her in the Middle Ages, irretrievably turned into a dump – starting with the souls and ending with the streets and suburbs. Notre Dame burned down. They took out all the paintings and sculptures capable of spoiling the mood of migrants and feminists from the Louvre.

Just Macron and his mirror. Like in Jean Cocteau’s play “Orpheus” with decorations by Jean Hugo and costumes by Coco Chanel.
