The actor had to muster up the courage.
Any actor can envy Liam Neeson’s career, but his personal life has not been without drama. The artist was happy with his wife Natasha Richardson, with whom he raised two sons, but a terrible tragedy crossed everything out.
On one of the March days of 2009, the chosen one of the actor was resting at the Mont-Tremblant ski resort in Quebec. The actress went to the track for beginners and did not wear a helmet. Losing control, she fell into the snow and received a head injury, which she did not attach any importance to.
However, after a while, Richardson became worse – she was taken to the hospital, but it was too late. Doctors informed Neeson that his wife was brain dead and she would never recover. Then the screen star made, perhaps, the most difficult decision in his life – he agreed to have his beloved disconnected from the life support apparatus.
Work helped the artist to survive the bitter loss. The actor plunged headlong into the filming process, but he didn’t even think about a new marriage. According to Liam, he could not love anyone as much as his now deceased wife, which is why he preferred to be left alone.
