With the series Loki in film Spider-Man: No Way Home the multiverse in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has now really opened up. The next films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will add to that, although there will also be standalone films that focus on other, more terrestrial or cosmic adventures. Over the next few days, we’ll be looking at the movies and series that will appear in the MCU.

Moon Knight

In the comics, Moon Knight is a dark figure who has the powers of the Egyptian moon god Khonshu. He fights crime in Los Angeles.
The synopsis gives the first direction for the Disney+ series: “Moon Knight is a complex vigilante who suffers from dissociative identity disorder. The multiple identities living within him are different characters that appear against the backdrop of modern and ancient Egypt.”
It recently became clear that “the Batman from Marvel” will probably get a role in a “deadly war” between the Greek, Norse and Egyptian gods. This portends the arrival of more dark tales to the MCU.

Other characters reportedly appearing are Jean-Paul DuChamp, Marlene Alraune, Elias Spector, Mrs. Spector, Eddie Silver and Willow Silver. The actors who play these roles are unknown.

Moon Knight seems to be the start of the dark side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For example, his interaction with Marvel gods is expected to impact the course of Thor: Love and Thunder, since in that movie about Norse gods also the Greek god Zeus (Russell Crowe) can be seen and Christian Bale debuts as Gorr the God Butcher.
There are also rumors that Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors) has something to do with Moon Knight’s “timeline”. If this is true, then Moon Knight could just be living in a different universe than the current MCU.
There are also theories that Moon Knight the more supernatural MCU launches, featuring vampires and werewolves. Then think of the upcoming Marvel movie Blade and the Halloween special Werewolf By Night.
