Less than a month ago, forward Jan Kuchta lay with a kidney stone in the hospital for three days, but he overcame his health problems and on Thursday he helped the Slavia footballers to win 3: 1 in the opening match of the European Conference League group.
The 24-year-old top scorer of last league’s season sent a ball into the net in the 84th minute, which bounced conveniently towards him in the lime, and joked that it was his typical goal.
“As the coach says, it was impossible not to give. These are situations that are even more difficult than normal. I’m famous for finishing everyone. From there, I’m there to score such goals,” Kuchta laughed. “This is me. The boys in the cabin also called me,” he revealed.
“Today it rewarded us again. I am especially glad that we, the alternating players who went there, helped the team quite significantly. And in the end we managed it. We are happy and very happy for that,” Kuchta added.
He returned to the game last weekend after overcoming health problems. “It was about three weeks ago. Before the national team break, I dropped out and lay on the drip for three days in the hospital,” he returned to unpleasant moments.
“I have to knock that I didn’t have a major problem anymore. I’m very happy that I can train fully like other boys. I have to be prepared, I do everything,” Kuchta swore.
He was glad that Slavia successfully joined the European Conference League, he considered the win very important. “We perceived the strength of the group we are drawn in and the strength of the opponent. The group is very difficult, it will be balanced and it will depend on each match how we manage it. We are glad that we won the first one,” the shooter praised.
He currently has a lot of competition in Slavia’s attack, but according to him, it must belong to such a large club. “The coaches want such players and I have no choice but to wait and wait for a chance. I was valid for the team against the Union and I hope that it will last me until the next rounds,” Kuchta believed.
