Anyone who regularly uses the social networks Instagram and Facebook knows the problem. Currently, invitations to strange group chats are increasingly landing in your own mailbox. Most of these groups consist of randomly thrown together members and spread links to dubious competitions or questionable erotic sites.
In the last few weeks this phenomenon has increased again and strained the nerves of many users. Fortunately, those who have had enough of them can take a few measures to stop the flood of spam.
First option – block notifications
With a regular Instagram account it is not possible to completely prevent the invitations – but at least the notifications about the invitations can be switched off. In this way, the requests only appear as a small hint in the chat window and no longer interfere with notifications.
To deactivate it, users can proceed as follows:
– On the Profil-Tab click at the bottom right
– That at the top right menu Open via the button with the three horizontal lines
– The menu item “Settings “ choose
– Here the submenu “Notifications “ to open
– The section “Direct messages “ select
– Here you can find the setting with which notifications about Group inquiries can be deactivated
