Spanish couples of Daniela Alvarez with Tania Moreno and of Pablo Herrera with Adrian Gavira were eliminated this Wednesday in the quarter-finals of beach volleyball at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, after their respective defeats against Canadians Melissa Humana-Paredes and Brandie Wilkerson (18-21 and 18-21) and against Norwegians Anders Berntsen Mol and Christian Sandlie Sorum (16-21 and 17-21).
At the Eiffel Tower Stadium, These poor results put an end to the participation of Spain in both the women’s and men’s tournaments, as last Sunday Liliana Fernández Steiner and Paula Soria said goodbye in the round of 16, having lost 21-23 and 16-21 against the Swiss Tanja Hüberli and Nina Brunner.
