So far, 2019 is leading with an average monthly temperature of 18.1 degrees. In joint second place are 2017 and 1976 with 18.0 degrees, followed by 2003 with 17.8 degrees. Only if the temperature suddenly turns out a lot lower next week, a first place can go wrong this year.

The number of summer days, when it gets warmer than 25 degrees, is also certain of a top-3 listing. So far, De Bilt has eleven summer days. Because it will probably also be hot in summer on Sunday and Monday, this number increases to thirteen. In 1970 it came to a record number of no less than fourteen summer days in De Bilt. In second place follows 2003 with thirteen summer days.

In recent years, June has often been very warm. The June months of 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 have a place in the top 10 warmest June months. So this year will be the fifth year in a row with a spot in the top-10 with this year probably even in first place
