This is how the Union players pose on Instagram while on vacation ›Textilverfahren

In terms of sport, there is little news for the weekend: picture/BZ took a look at the returners on loan and made predictions for a possible integration into the Union’s Bundesliga team. Urs Fischer has the image of a down-to-earth and pragmatic trainer. That’s why his vacation doesn’t take him to Santorini (we’ll get to that later), but to Austria in the Salzkammergut. I can actually well imagine him saying: “The water is just as wet here as it is in Greece.” The truth, of course, is that there are no trout swimming in the Mediterranean in Greece. He caught it together with assistant trainer Markus Hoffmann on Lake Hallstatt. By the way, I have no further confidence in both of them that they also worked. But at least they didn’t photograph that. If I may wish for the next trout photo: I would like to see what figure the rest of the Union leadership makes when it comes to fishing. Incidentally, the trainer gets extra points for writing that she had “let her fisherman’s soul dangle” with Markus Hoffmann.

Deep as the sea

Leon Dajaku is a mystery to me. Of course, the player can do very little for that. It is more likely that I’m twice as old and while I’m about to have lime trickling out of my pants, he stands in the desert with a gesture like fathers used to do in front of their children when they say: “This will all be yours one day.” However, this photo is disqualified for our water series because there is little of it to be found in deserts. Even if some do not believe that, Union midfielder also fulfills his role model function on picture book holidays. He uses sunscreen, drinks a lot, and wears a hat to protect himself from the sun. Unfortunately, he does not wear a classic bucket hat, but I would like to take this opportunity to point out that the bucket hat perfectly protects from direct sunlight on all sides. And I would be happy if Union the classic model with “sporty & fair” would hang up again. Also in different hat sizes.

Lots of room for imagination

I was very aggressive about how great I think Robin Knoche is in Union’s team. And this picture of him by the pool symbolizes so much. For us it may only be palm trees that Robin Knoche looks at. For him, on the other hand, it’s options like his teammates on the field. When the defender guides the ball and looks in the direction of the opposing goal, he primarily sees opportunities. He decides where the Union’s game goes. Likewise on vacation: a safe short pass to the pool or a long shot towards the sea? I’m curious. But I know one thing for sure: Robin Knoche will make the right decision.

Oh, two swallows beat on my chest

When I see Loris Karius, I always think of my well-trained big child: “Put a shirt on!” I call out before we eat. And Union Keeper certainly rolled his eyes in the picture when he was called from the left to eat. We just don’t see it because they’re hidden behind fashionable sunglasses. On the other hand, the picture gives us the chance not only to admire the shiny upper body of Loris Karius, but also to think about why two swallows are flying on his chest. I got very close, but couldn’t see whether Marco was really under the left swallow and Reus under the right.

And otherwise?

Surprisingly, Viktoria is allowed to play in the 3rd division in the Jahnsportpark (Fupa), which actually no longer has an operating permit.
