Otomotifnet.com – Suzuki exhibited a car platform equipped with Smart Hybrid technology at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) Hybrid 2022, at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta.

When the car is decelerating or not stepping on the gas pedal, or when the speed is low until it stops, the system will turn off the engine.
When the engine is off, the need for electrical power such as lights, AC and others is supplied by the battery.
“Meanwhile, the need for electrical power such as instrument panels and entertainment systems will be supplied by lithium ion batteries. This is the difference between the previous SHVS technology and the Smart Hybrid that we are showing off,” explained Yulius.
Then, when the car accelerates again from rest, there is a feature called Integrated Smart Generator (ISG) which will help start the engine and keep the engine running optimally.
“So the engine performance will be much lighter, hopefully it will make fuel consumption more efficient, this is what we excel at,” he added.
