Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Saudi Professional League account on the “X” platform (formerly Twitter) tweeted about a video clip of the player Karim Benzema and his counterpart Jordan Henderson during the confrontation between the Jeddah Club and its competitor Al-Ettifaq, on Friday.
The Roshen League account published a picture of the meeting between Benzema and Henderson from a previous match between their former clubs, Real Madrid in Spain and Liverpool in England, in the 2022 Champions League final, and their meeting again on Saudi soil recently, in a clear indication of the development of the level of the league in the Kingdom.
The French striker (35 years old) met the English midfielder (33 years old) in the 2022 Champions League final, and then Karim Benzema’s teammates won the title in their favor after defeating the “Reds” with a single goal, before the two players decided to move to Saudi Arabia in the last summer transfer market.
