This is how the rise and fall in the Krefeld district leagues works

The large FuPa overview of the district leagues A, B and C in Kempen-Krefeld.

As in every year, with the beginning of spring, we are increasingly receiving questions about ascent and descent in the district leagues. And as you are used to, we have tried again this time to formulate as comprehensibly as possible what can often only be found in complicated diagrams and entangled regulations. This is how it should be this time in the district leagues in Kempen-Krefeld.

The district of Kempen-Krefeld has seven district league teams, which play in group 4 with seven teams from the district of Mönchengladbach-Viersen and SV Straelen II. There is something special about this group, as Rheydter SV withdrew its team from play before the season started and TDFV Viersen followed later. Thus, two relegated teams from the district of Mönchengladbach-Viersen have already been determined, so a maximum of two teams from the district of Kempen-Krefeld can be relegated, which means that some scenarios for the district leagues are no longer applicable.

A maximum of five relegated from the district league A

For the District League A this has no effect on the ascension question. In any case, the champion and runner-up are promoted to the district league. This is different when descending. Here only three teams would get caught in the relegation round of district league A if the district got by without district league relegators. With every club that would get caught in the district league, there would be a relegation in the district league A. So in the worst case, with two district league relegated, it could be five A leagues.

From the district league B On the other hand, only the three champions are promoted to the district league B, there is no possibility for the second. The regulation for relegation from the district league B is just as manageable. Here, too, only those at the bottom of the table are affected in all constellations. So if you don’t hold a Red Lantern, stay inside, come what may.

Promotion round of the district league C only with two district league relegated

It could be at least a touch more complicated when climbing up the ranks District League C become again. However, everything is clear here too, should there be no or only one district league relegated. Then the first and second from all four groups of the district league C will rise. However, if there are two district league relegated, only seven C league teams will be promoted. In this case, the four runners-up would have to determine three more promoted teams in a promotion round. It would be played like this:

  • 1st match day, Wed. 22.06.22 Group C 2 – C 3 and C 4 – C 1
  • 2nd matchday, Sun. 26.06.22 group C 1 – C 2 and C 3 – C 4
  • 3rd match day, Wed. 29.06.22 Group C 3 – C 1 and C 2 – C 4 (on a neutral pitch)
  • Possible decision game: 02.07.22
  • Possibly repetition round: from 02.07.22

at equal points the circle is oriented Kempen-Krefeld Paragraph 24 of the FVN Rules of Play: If two or more teams in a group have the same highest or lowest number of points in the table places that are decisive for promotion or relegation, the games of the teams concerned with a goal difference rating against each other. If there is a tie, the decides Goal difference after the subtraction method. If the goal difference is the same, the team that has scored more goals is better placed. If there is still a tie, there is a decider
neutral place.
