MEXICO CITY (apro).- The quarterfinals of the Leagues Cup have finally been defined, with América and Mazatlán as the only Liga MX representatives looking to win the title. The matches will be played on Saturday, August 17.
The other six teams belong to Major League Soccer (MLS) and are: Colorado Rapids, LAFC, New York City FC, Philadelphia Union, Columbus Crew and Seattle Sounders.

For its part, Mazatlán beat Cruz Azul on penalties (2-2, 1-3 in the shootout). The team managed by Víctor Manuel Vucetich will face Philadelphia Union in the next round, who surprised everyone by beating Cincinnati 2-4, the team that was the best team in the MLS regular season last year.
Should the Eagles advance, they will face the winner of the match between the Sounders and Los Angeles FC; Mazatlán FC will face the winner of the Columbus vs New York City match.
