This is how the Malaga brotherhoods face a new Holy Week without processions | BE Malaga | Today for Today Malaga

Second Holy Week without processions in Malaga after the outbreak of the coronavirus. The brotherhoods of the Malaga capital are already preparing activity programs for Lent and Passion Week, following the decree issued by the Bishop of Malaga, Jesús Catalá, where he suspended processions and all external worship.

In recent months, the Association of Brotherhoods of Malaga has worked on different scenarios that have had to be discarded due to the current state of the pandemic. Currently, it is intended to design a series of brotherhood itineraries with urban routes through different parts of the city, such as brotherhood houses and other places of brotherhood interest, as long as the health authorities and the Bishopric allow it.

Mari Carmen Ledesma, vice president of the Association, Benjamín del Alcázar, head of the Cofrades Studies Chair at the University of Malaga and Luis Merino, president of the Centennial Commission of the Association of Brotherhoods participated in the SER gathering. You can already hear it.
