More and more US athletes are celebrating with the so-called Trump dance. Now the American football league NFL has mentioned a possible ban – and has taken a clear position.

Since the election of Donald Trump At the beginning of November, celebrations for the future US President are particularly common in the world of sports in the United States: recently players have started to celebrate touchdowns or goals with the name Trump dance.

They take turns moving their arms forward again and again and splitting their hips a little – and somewhat bumpy. Cue Trump, who repeated the dance at campaign events and had the audience cheering.

NFL has “no problem” with cheering Trump

But isn’t the dance a political statement and therefore banned in some US sports leagues? At least they have that now National Football League (NFL) stand.

Trump’s celebration was “not a problem,” NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said to “Front Office Sports”. As for broadcast TV networks, McCarthy added: “It’s up to the networks to report as they see fit.”

According to the rules, rejoicing is only prohibited if it is excessive or if it includes violent or sexual acts. However, this is not the case with Trump’s dance; the shout is not viewed as a political statement.

The situation is different when NFL players make such a statement with their clothing. This recently happened to Nick Bosa of the San Francisco 49ers: The defensive end was fined $11,255 by the NFL after he showed up at a game wearing a “Make America Great Again” cap.

Trump’s cheer is no longer seen in football, the dance is also getting into football. Just last Tuesday, USA international Christian Pulisic celebrated one of his two goals against Jamaica with a dance.

Welcome to this exclusive interview ⁢on the topic of ‘A new sport in‌ the NFL’ and the recent trend⁤ of players celebrating ⁢with the ⁤Trump dance. To provide a more comprehensive perspective,‌ we have⁤ two guests joining us‌ today – a ‍NFL⁢ player, Mr. Nick Bosa,‌ and ⁢an NFL official, Mr. Roger Goodell. Thank you ‌both for being here.

**Guest 1:** Mr. Nick Bosa, we are excited to have you here with us. As a professional athlete, how do you interpret the NFL’s stance on the Trump dance, ‍and how do you feel about the ‍NFL’s⁢ lack ‌of concern regarding the dance‍ as a political statement?

**Guest 2:** Mr. Roger‌ Goodell,⁣ as an official of the NFL, what are your thoughts on the Trump dance becoming‍ increasingly‌ popular among ⁤players? ⁣Do you believe that it could potentially create any tensions ⁢within the ⁢league or ⁢the sport itself?

**Mr. Goodell:** Thank you for having me. I believe that⁤ the NFL’s primary focus is on sportsmanship and maintaining a‍ level playing field for all players.⁣ As⁤ long as the Trump dance doesn’t disrupt the‍ game or infringe upon the league’s rules, we have no issue with it.

**Nick Bosa:**⁤ I completely ‍agree with Mr.⁢ Goodell. For me, ‍the dance is just a way to express excitement and have some fun after scoring a big play. I⁣ don’t see it as a political statement per se, ⁤and it’s up to each individual player to decide what‌ celebrations they want to do. Of course, there are certain boundaries that should be respected, but ‍I don’t think the ‍Trump dance crosses those lines.

**Guest 1:** ⁣That’s an interesting perspective, Mr. Bosa. You mentioned last⁤ week when you wore the “Make America Great Again”⁤ cap, you were‌ fined. Some might argue that this is‌ also a political statement. How do you differentiate between these two?

**Mr. Goodell:** Well,⁢ Mr. Bosa, we believe that the cap you wore had specific political connotations and was using⁢ the team brand to make a political statement. This is one of the reasons why it ‌was‍ fined. However, the Trump dance has not⁢ been ⁣deemed as such, and we see ⁤it as a harmless way for players to celebrate
