laSexta has had access to a recording in which an operator from the Madrid Health Council answers a call from a woman who says that she has mobility problems and that she cannot travel to Isabel Zendal (150 km from her home) to get vaccinated. An audio that we advance in scoop on these lines.
The 60-year-old woman says she lives in Colmenar de Oreja, 70 kilometers from the center of Madrid, and She explains that she has been summoned to be vaccinated that same afternoon at the Isabel Zendal Hospital, almost 150 kilometers from her home.
The woman asks if she cannot be vaccinated at her health center and explains her circumstances, that she has operated on one foot, cannot walk and her husband cannot transfer her because she is waiting for a surgical operation.
The Ministry of Health explains that the health center is not vaccinating and the operator understands that then it gives up vaccination: it insistently requires your ID to document “that you do not want to be vaccinated”. In a call that is increasing in tension, the affected woman insists that she does want to get vaccinated: “I’m crazy to get the vaccine.”
With no other solution, the operator of the Madrid Ministry of Health explains that she cannot do anything else and insists that you provide your identity document and thus cancel the appointment. An answer that does not convince the affected person, who ends up cutting off the call.
This recording that we advance the socialist party is going to make it public in its pre-campaign Madrid.
A recording that matches the Criticisms that have surfaced these days for the citation for the vaccination of Madrilenians in the Zendal Hospital and in the Metropolitan Wanda. Two locations that require long journeys for many and to which the waiting hours are also added, in a population that also exceeds 60 years.
