– Happy birthday everyone! writes pop artist Charlotte «Raylee» Kristiansen to her followers on Instagram.

The artist, known from among others Melodi Grand Prix (MGP), started the day on the broadcast of “Good Morning Norway” on TV 2 and writes to VG that she will now continue to breakfast with two pairs of friends and then “take the day a little as it comes” .

VG updates the article throughout the day.

In Rotterdam is another MGP acquaintance, namely Norway’s envoy to Eurovision. Dressed in a Russian suit, Andreas “Tix” Haukeland, together with several others in the delegation, sends a greeting home to Norway.

– Happy Birthday! writes Det norske kongehus on its Instagram account.

They also state that the Crown Prince’s family started the day at Skaugum in Asker where they met representatives of “the municipality’s schools, corps, choir scouts – and not least russ”.

The Crown Prince’s family has also been on a surprise visit to a living and care center, a housing association and a primary school.

– Now it carries in to the Palace where the royal family will be present at the large celebration at the Castle Square.

– Norway, I love you, writes Tinashe Wiliamson.

Before she comes with a slightly more serious message to the followers:

– Not to dampen the mood, but on a day like this I am extra grateful that I can put my children to bed at night and not be afraid that we will not wake up again because it is raining bombs outside. That is not the case in Gaza and other areas in Palestine, so I send an extra thought to those living under terror and apartheid.

– Do you miss sour corps music? Do not despair. Here is my contribution! Congratulations on the day, Norway, writes artist Adelén Rusillo Steen together with a video clip where she plays the national anthem “Yes, we love this country” on clarinet.

Celebrity stylist Jan Thomas congratulates Norway on the day on Instagram and shares photos from when he was the host of the May 17 broadcast of “Good Morning Norway” in 2019.

Instagram and VG TV celebrity Vegard Harm has posted a picture from Stokke with the text “GMD” followed by three hearts, one red, one white and one blue.

NRK presenter Silje Nordnes has posted a picture where she is wearing a bunad, a cat on her lap and a flag in her hand.

Another well-known NRK face, “Debatten” presenter Fredrik Solvang, also poses in a bunad and with a dog on 17 May – which is also his birthday.

– That it does not rain bombs over our heads, as in the Middle East, or that we must not wage a death struggle against the pandemic, as in India, is luck and blessing, writes Solvang.

He adds:

– But on Constitution Day, it is allowed to sacrifice those who are born on one day a year, as everyone should congratulate each other on the day, a little sympathy. But okay, congratulations on the day, then!

– Congratulations on the day my fine, writes reality celebrity and influencer Martine Lunde.

– Love you, influences Sophie Elise Isachsen writes under a picture with the text:

– To you who celebrate May 17 alone, I do too. Lying on the couch and doing absolutely nothing. In a feed full of national costumes, party and breakfasts, I just wanted to remind you that even if you are alone, you are not.
