Emergency preparedness has been intensified since July 22, 2011. Police and defense have received better equipment. But we will not be able to stop everything, says the chief of defense.

The police and the Armed Forces share Norwegian counter-terrorism preparedness. They must both be ready when the crisis is a fact. The Armed Forces will step in when the police ask for help, as happened in 2011 and during the landslide on Gjerdrum at New Year.
