In the spring, when the first corona wave rolled across the country, the Main-Spessart district felt like an island of the blissful. While the number of infected and deceased in nearby Wrzburg skyrocketed, there were hardly any infected people in Main-Spessart, few intensive care patients and only six people who died of or with Covid-19. At the moment it seems to be turning around. Main-Spessart currently has a higher incidence value than Wrzburg with 227, and within a few days the number of corona deaths has skyrocketed to 22.
