SØNDRE NORDSTRAND (VG) The 46-year-olds Tonje and Gro are a step closer to a normal everyday life.

– It was very easy. I did not even feel it, says Gro Attemalm (46).

This week, like others in the age group 45-54 years, she was called in for vaccination in the district of Søndre Nordstrand in Oslo.

In the capital, there are large differences in how far the various districts have come with the vaccination. The unequal distribution to Oslo and to the worst affected districts is described as very important for combating the infection nationally.

Big differences

In the neighborhoods Alna, Søndre Nordstrand, Stovner, Bjerke and Grorud the vaccination has come the furthest. They are in the process of vaccinating those between the ages of 45 and 54. All these districts are located in the east of Oslo – in line with the unequal distribution of vaccines within the capital.

At the opposite end is the district Østensjø, Sagene, Nordstrand and Nordre Aker seg. There, they are vaccinated between the ages of 65 and 74.

St. Hanshaugen and Ullern is vaccinating people with underlying diseases aged 18 to 64 years.

In the district Vestre Aker they work with vaccination of those between 45 to 64 years with underlying diseases.

Then the districts remain Grünerløkka, Old Oslo and Frogner. They are mainly vaccinating those between the ages of 55 and 64.

– It is a step in the right direction, says Attermalm after she got the vaccine stick in her arm. First dose of Pfizer vaccine completed.

– I was very surprised when they called me. I had not anticipated that they would call before the summer, she continues.

300 a day

Today, the employees at the vaccination center put around 300 doses on the inhabitants of Søndre Nordstrand.

– It goes really well. We get hold of many. There are some who do not get hold of, but we are working to reach them by phone, SMS and GP, says head of the vaccination center in the district, Magnus Larsen, to VG.

There are 5179 people in the age group 45 to 54 years in the district. He estimates that it will take them about a month to finish this age group, before moving on to those between 18 and 44 years old.

That the district Søndre Nordstrand is doing so well with the vaccination, means that Tonje Langnes (46) is next in line this day.

First dose

A stab in the arm of the doctor Nithula Kandasamy, then she is done with the first dose.

– I was very surprised when they called. It is early in the line, but it is very nice, she says to VG.

However, she does not think that it will be very important to her in the first place.

– It does not change anything. You still have to keep the infection control, she says.
