Hinterwald cattle have shaped the landscape in the southern Black Forest for centuries. They graze the mountains and ensure that the landscape is kept open as well as a high biodiversity in the pastures. During the two “Culinary Hinterwlder Weeks” of the Biosphrengebiet Southern Black Forest (BSG), 21 restaurants between Schauinsland, Belchen, Feldberg and Hotzenwald cook special dishes from Hinterwlder beef from October 3rd to 17th.
