Princess of Wales Catherine was seen somewhat unexpectedly alongside her husband, Prince William of Wales, at a diplomatic event in Southport today, Thursday.

According to the BBC, which reported on the matter, Catherine wanted to show support and empathy to the local community. The couple also met with police and emergency personnel who were on duty at the time of the attack.

Catherine said in March that she has cancer, which is being treated with preventive chemotherapy.

– Even though I have finished my chemotherapy, my road to healing and full recovery is long and I still have to take each day as it is, Catherine said on social media at the time.

– I am looking forward to returning to work and more public representation tasks in the coming months, when I am able to.
