This is how Hamilton & Verstappen recharge their batteries for the World Cup

(Motorsport-Total.com) – A free weekend is currently pure luxury for Formula 1 drivers. After the race in Sochi, however, the drivers had time to relax or do other things. The two world championship rivals Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen also used the time to switch off from the stressful world championship fight – but in their own way.

The Mercedes driver has already proven several times that a Lewis Hamilton doesn’t need a lot of rest. No matter which party or which trip he’s just coming from: If you let him do his thing, he’ll always come to a Grand Prix in top form.

At the weekend, the seven-time world champion was a guest at the birthday party of top model Cindy Bruna in Paris. Hamilton celebrated alongside football stars Neymar or Kylian Mbappe and previously wrote on Instagram: “While I’m in Paris, please call me Louis.”

Opponent Max Verstappen, on the other hand, celebrated his own birthday last week – but the Red Bull driver spent his 24th in a rather familiar atmosphere with his friend Kelly Piquet, who congratulated her sweetheart with photos of the couple.

“Happy Birthday to the love of my life,” wrote the 32-year-old. “I love everything about you, about us and I am more than proud of you.”

The two could also be seen on the birthday evening at a joint dinner for two with a birthday cake in the Red Bull look. It also showed a photo of the blended family with daughter Penelope, who was brought back by the daughter of ex-world champion Nelson Piquet from her previous relationship with Daniil Kwjat.

But next weekend things will get serious again for the two top drivers: The seventh from last race of the season is on the program in Turkey.
