George (63) and Amal Clooney (46) are proud parents of their seven-year-old twins Ella (7) and Alexander (7). But do they actually know how famous their mom and dad are? The actor and the human rights lawyer spoke at an annual Clooney Foundation charity event a few days ago AND! News about how much their children already understand. “You know what a lawyer is”the 63-year-old revealed, after which his wife confirmed: “Yeah, when they play games like ‘someone’s going to jail,’ they’re like, ‘It’s okay, mommy can get them out.’ I think that’s what got through to them.”
When asked if the twins had seen their father’s films, George firmly said no. “I don’t want them to see most of it. But one day they came home from school and asked, ‘What does ‘famous’ mean?” We didn’t really want to explain that.” The Hollywood star admitted with amusement that it was difficult to introduce the concept of celebrity to children without losing their impartiality. However, Amal proudly added: “They know you’re an actor. I think they find it interesting.”
George and Amal have been married since 2014 and have been leading a family life away from the spotlight ever since. Although George is known worldwide as an actor, they try to give their children as normal a childhood as possible. This is also reflected in their anniversary – because Ella and Alexander had thought of something special for their wedding anniversary: They gave the couple “something made of slime”. The two seven-year-olds are real pranksters and like to play pranks – something they got from their father, as Amal recently said in a conversation Entertainment Tonight revealed.
