This is how Gabby Petito (22) died:

Tuesday night it became known how Gabby Petito (22) died.

In a press conference, forensic pathologist Brent Blue in Teton County, Wyoming, USA, talks about the first results of the autopsy report after she was found dead.

She was strangled, it was a murder, says the forensic pathologist.

– Now that the cause of death has been determined, can you also conclude that it was her boyfriend Brian Laundrie who strangled her, one of the reporters asks?

– You have to ask the police about that, it is your responsibility to find out, forensic doctor Brent Blue answers.

He states that there are several circumstances that give the autopsy report a clear conclusion.

Two to four weeks

The body of Gabby Peteto was found outdoors in the wilderness. She had been there for between two and four weeks, says the forensic pathologist, who leaves it to the police to answer whether she may have been killed elsewhere.

Homicide suspect Brian Laundrie has not been found. The parents have told police he left their home in Florida on September 14th. They reported he was missing Sept. 17.

In Wyoming, Brina Laundrie is accused of spending more than $ 1,000 from “another person’s bank card” in the period from Gabby’s parents reporting her missing on September 11 until she was found dead on September 19.

Come home alone

Petito was found dead on September 19 in Bridger-Teton National Park.

She had been missing for eight days after her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie (23), had come home alone from their US vacation.

Petito and Laundrie had been driving around in a white van since June, but in early September, Petito suddenly sank into the ground.

Brian Laundrie entrenched himself in his parents’ home in North Port, Florida, before he too suddenly disappeared.

On September 17, his parents, who did not want to talk to the police, reported him missing.

Six days later, an arrest warrant was issued for Laundrie after, according to the FBI, he used another person’s bank card between August 30 and September 1.

It is not known who his bank card was.

Called the emergency number

It was on July 2 that Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie started the journey in a white van that they had converted into a motorhome.

– There is no better place than the small home we have created, she wrote Instagram two days later, and tagged Justin Laundrie.

Gabby Petito posted photos from all the places they visited, such as Colorado Springs and Zion National Park in Utah.

On August 12, nearly three weeks before Laundrie returned to her parents in Florida, concerned eyewitnesses alerted police and said they had seen a man beat a girl in Moab, Utah.

It turned out to be Petito and Laundrie.

When police found the couple, Gabby Petito was very upset.

Everything was filmed by police body cameras.

She hiccuped and said that she had had an argument with her boyfriend.

“I have obsessive thoughts and sometimes get very frustrated,” she said, explaining that Laundrie would not let her into their car.

Arguing over Gabby’s phone

In a report, police officer Daniel Scott Robbins wrote that Gabby Petito was inconsolable when she sat in the back seat of his police car, writes The Washington Post.

“At no point during the investigation did Gabrielle stop crying, breathing heavily or putting together a sentence without wiping away tears, wiping her nose or rubbing her hands on her knees,” he wrote.

In the conversations, it must have emerged that the relationship between Laundrie and Petito had become more and more strained.

– She struggled with the psyche, Robbins wrote in the report.

Sent to shelter

Police Officer Robbins wrote that he sent Gabby Petito to the Safe Haven shelter while Laundrie was given a hotel room.

The relationship was not reported.

– I asked both Brian and Gabrielle to use the time apart to calm down. I asked them to avoid contacting each other until the next morning, if possible, he wrote.

Gabby begged to reconsider the relationship

A National Park Service employee also rushed to the emergency room.

– I begged her (Petito, journ.anm.) To reconsider the relationship, and asked her if she was happy in the relationship with him, and said that this was an opportunity for her to find another way, to make a change in her life, park ranger Melissa Hulls tells the Utah newspaper Deseret News.

Hulls says that both she and the police regret that they did not do more to get Petito away from her boyfriend.

– This was not a good day at work for anyone. We thought we made the right decision when we left them, she says.

On August 24, Petito called Mom’s home via FaceTime and told her she was leaving Utah for Teton, Wyoming.

The next day, they sent two text messages back and forth, and the mother then got the impression that Petito had arrived in Teton.

On August 26, she posted what would be her last Instagram photo, where she smiles from ear to ear, shows off a crocheted pumpkin and writes “Happy Halloween”.

Argued loudly

On August 27, eyewitnesses Petito and Laundrie saw The Merry Piglets Tex-Mex restaurant in Jackson, Wyoming.

The couple must have quarreled while they were on their way out the door, and Petito must have cried while Laundrie looked angry.

The latter must have walked in and out of the restaurant and been angry with the employees.

On the same day, Petito’s mother received a text message she describes as “strange”.

The message asked if she could help Stan, Gabby Petito’s grandfather.

– Can you help Stan? I only get his voice messages and missed calls, the message said.

Mora responded to the message, as Gabby Petito never called her grandfather Stan.

Closed doors

On the same day, August 27, the white habit was filmed by two vloggers at a campground in Spread Creek in Bridger-Teton National Park in Wyoming.

This is the same place that Gabby Petito was later found dead.

– The habit was very dark, closed. It did not look like there was any activity in it, so we continued to drive, they say Fox News.

Responded to message

On August 30, Gabby Petito’s family received another text message to which they responded, and which they do not believe Petito sent himself.

– No coverage in Yosemite, it said.

Then it was quiet from the New York girl.

Petito’s stepfather, Jim Schmidt, has said that it was not unusual for Gabby Petito to be quiet for a few days, but no longer than that.

– It was not uncommon for her to disappear for a few days, but she always got back to a place where she could find a WiFi connection, upload to Instagram, call, FaceTime home, he says.

When the family had not heard from her in eleven days, they sounded the alarm.

On September 1, Brian Laundrie returned home alone to his family in Florida, where he obtained a lawyer.

While the police declared him a “person of interest”, he went underground.

– How can you do this to Gabby?

On September 11, Gabby Petito was reported missing by the family.

When they contacted Brian Laundrie, they received no answer and were furious.

– Brian left Gabby in the wilderness with grizzly bears and wolves, while sitting safely at home. At home! Brian, how can you do this to Gabby, thundered the family in the press release they sent out on September 16th.

Laundrie’s parents then said that they had not seen their son since September 17, when he went on a trip to the huge Carlton Reserve.

According to them, he did not have a mobile phone or a wallet with him.

On September 19, a body was found in Spread Creek that turned out to be Petito.

No trace of Brian Laundrie

Police have combed the Carlton Reserve, but no evidence of Brian Laundrie has been found.

According to CNN, two finder’s salaries of 30,000 dollars have been issued to the person or persons who can help the police find Brian Laundrie.

While the search for Laundrie was in full swing, Gabby Petito’s family and friends gathered to remember the 22-year-old.

– I want you to be inspired by Gabby. That’s what we want. If it’s a trip you want to take now, take it now. Do it while you have time. If you’re in a relationship that’s not the best for you, leave it now, Gabby Petito’s father, Joseph Petito, said during the vigil.
