First date at the altar – in the opening episode of the series, at least the attention of the viewers who follow football was drawn to a special point. The episode unexpectedly also featured the well-known football coach Antti Muurinen, whose daughter Jenni goes in series Steep with.
In his career, Muurinen has coached the Finnish national football team Huuhkaji, as well as the teams of HJK and Helsinki IFK, among others. He has achieved no less than seven Finnish championships.
– You were quite relaxed, Muurinen says while shaking hands with his new son-in-law.
– A team game, the married couple states.
Muurinen also commented together with his daughter on their first impressions of Jyrk. I guess football will also come up.
– Yes, I heard everything and played football up to A-junior level and was a guardian and other things. He seems to know quite a lot about the football world, says Muurinen with obvious satisfaction.

Jenni says that sport has played a big role in their family, because along with her father, Jenni’s brothers have also pursued the same career.
– I saved myself from this, Jenni says.
Jyrki also seems satisfied after meeting Jenni’s family. Even so satisfied that he has to remind himself, whoever he is married to.
– With Appiukko now, football happens to be quite a big part of life, but I have to remember that I am married to his daughter, not to him, Jyrki reflects.
