Viral traffic police officers (polantas) in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, beat residents until they lie down. It is known that the commotion occurred because the man named Andi Gultom violated traffic.
The incident occurred on Wednesday (13/10) at around 11.00 WIB at Simpang Cemara, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra.
“Satlantas Polresta personnel are at the Cemara intersection in carrying out their duties. There was a disagreement with one of the drivers which caused our personnel to beat Andi Gultom by Aipda Gonzalves,” said Deli Serdang Police Chief Kombes Yemi Mandagi to reporters.
For the inappropriate behavior of the traffic police officers, Yemi apologized. He is also ready to be responsible for the medical expenses of the victims.
“On behalf of the leadership of the North Sumatra Regional Police, Mr. Kapolda, the Head of the Deli Serdang Police apologizes,” said Yemi.
“We are responsible for the healing of Andi Gultom’s brother,” added Yemi.
Meanwhile, Aipda Gonzalves is now deactivated because he is being investigated by the Police Profession and Security Division (Propam).
