KONTAN.CO.ID – Minister of State Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir confirmed the government’s plan to provide direct cash assistance (BLT) in the form of cash transfers of Rp 600,000 per month to private employees.
He asserted, the stimulus from the government does not apply to Civil Servants (PNS) or BUMN employees.
Later technically, from the budget the nominal assistance of Rp. 600,000 per month for four months will be given directly every two months to the account of each worker. So Erick said, this scheme will not cause abuse.

Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Erick Thohir said the focus of government assistance was 13.8 million non-civil servant and BUMN employees who were actively registered with the BPJS Employment with contributions under Rp 150,000 per month. “Or equivalent to a salary under Rp. 5 million per month,” Erick was quoted as saying Happy, Thursday (6/8).
Erick Thohir, who also serves as Chairperson of the Covid-19 Handling Committee and Economic Recovery, said that the stimulus program is being finalized so that it can be implemented by the Ministry of Manpower in September 2020.
Earlier, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said the stimulus would be given to as many as 13 million employees, with a total budget estimated at Rp 31.2 trillion.
This incentive for employees aims to encourage public consumption in the semester II-2020 period.
