The Youth and Equality Councils launch a new affective-sexual counseling service for the youth of Pilate. The service is anonymous, confidential and free. Affectivity and sexuality have undoubted relevance in adolescence and youth due to the new needs that arise in both dimensions and impose constant challenges.
The Councilor for Youth, Nieves Moreno, mentions that “this is a project in the form of health promotion that will surely favor and reinforce prevention in many of the youth in the municipality.”
The service is aimed at young people between the ages of 12 and 30 who have questions about their relationships, sexuality, orientation or gender identity. As well as those who have suffered misunderstanding, discrimination or bullying because of it.
The councilor for equality, Susi Sánchez, explains that “they will also attend to those parents who require information about the psychosexual development and the relationships of their children.
The service takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and the first Saturday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. by the psychologist and equality agent, Paca Ponce, either in person or through a telephone appointment, being able to attend individually or as a couple.
