However, although it can be said that both of them have a monopoly in their respective business lines, PLN and Pertamina actually have competitors, although they are relatively insignificant.
Pertamina, which is engaged in the production and distribution of fuel, also has competitors. Likewise with PLN, where there are several companies that also produce and sell electricity, although they are limited to an industrial area.
Both Pertamina and PLN also have subsidiaries, whose business fields are also in fierce competition with private companies.

But is there a company in Indonesia that doesn’t have a single competitor in its business?
One of the companies in Indonesia that has no competitors is PT Asuransi Losses Raharja Services (Jasa Raharja), a state-owned company whose shares were later transferred by the government to the Indonesia Financial Group (IFG) controlled by PT Bahana Pembinaan Usaha Indonesia (Persero).
Since the government’s series B shares were transferred to IFG and became a subsidiary of a state-owned enterprise, Jasa Raharja has practically ceased to have the status of a red plate and stripped the name of Persero behind it.
PT Jasa Raharja is a company that conducts business in the insurance sector, especially for transportation and traffic accident insurance by providing basic protection compensation for accident victims.

The basic protection in question is to provide compensation or medical expenses in accordance with the provisions in PMK Numbers 15 and 16 of 2017
The basic protection includes death compensation, hospital treatment, ambulance facilities, first aid kit, disability compensation, and funeral costs.
